Bug: notifications appear even if I'm inside the app

There is an option under Preferences->Notifications to turn on/off notifications when the app is visible, does that cover it for you?

How odd. I never uncheked it, yet I did have those notifications.
Maybe I didn't notice, and the bug is actually that I open the app while
the notification still appears.
I should check it out furthermore. It's a bit rare though.
