I installed AllSky on a new RPi 4b 8 GB. This was my first attempt, so no existing files to copy. During installation of AllSky I had to change the RPi locale setting. I then continued the AllSky installation. I attempted to set the lat/lon of my device. Saving settings failed every attempt stating an error in the lat/lon required field, which always came back empty. So, I updated the lat/lon directly in the settings.json file and restarted AllSky. I also updated the location, owner, lens, and computer settings manually in the json file. This is because each time I attempt to save settings, the error "Settings NOT saved due to errors above" is the result. But, no errors are shown. I searched, though not exhaustively, for a solution, but no joy. |

I've also attempted to update the admin password, which also fails. I must have a permissions problem somewhere. |

Please attach /var/log/lighttpd/error.log and /var/log/allsky.log and I will take a look. |

So it rebooted to change the locale, but you didn't re-do the installation, so nothing worked. Is that correct? What could the installation have done to make it clearer you needed to restart the installation? I'm pretty sure other people have done the same thing as you, so I need to improve the installation but need feedback. |

Works now. I re-imaged my Pi and installed AllSky. Seems to be working now. I clearly made mistakes when installing previously. Thank you for your response.
