Compass and other data

I have seen that many people have a small compass on the site which indicates the direction of the image, how can it be inserted? If I also wanted to enter other useful data such as the external temperature and the pressure taken from my station, how could this be done?

@abrosio if you are using the latest Allsky, please see the Allsky Documentation on Overlays.
It is next to impossible to do on earlier releases.

Why doesn't the allsky.log file (in /var/log) update anymore?

I don't think that is directly related to Allsky. Try running sudo systemctl restart syslog. If you were doing a "tail -f" of the file and it stopped, it's probably because when the file gets to a certain size it is renamed and a new file created.

I ask you one last thing:
How can I enlarge the square containing the image of allsky on the site and center the image or in any case move it within the leftmost square?

@abrosio Antonio, can you attach a screenshot of what you are referring to? The answer will likely be "crop it", but I need to see the image first.

@EricClaeys Look at the screenshot I am attaching, I would like to transform the white square into the yellow one, then make it bigger, and align the camera image in the center of the square.
Basically I just want to enlarge the area to be able to put more neat overlays.

@Alex-developer Alex, can you think of a way in the current release, to add borders of a specified size and color to an image?
Ultimately we'd have a module for this.

Centering can currently be done via a crop, or going forward by a mask then differently-sized borders.

There is no way to do this at the moment.

It would be a nice addition to the overlay editor to allow arbitrary shapes to be drawn on the image

@EricClaeys i would like to have the additional module for the meteors, for me there are only 4 modules and the one for the meteors is missing. How can I add it?
Maybe in the future there could be the possibility to take an image when the camera detects an object such as a meteorite or a satellite?

My apologies I thought you wanted the other modules.

The meteor module is part of the main allsky installation but is experimental. To display the experimental modules look in the module managers settings, cog icon at the top right and enable experimental modules.
