@WEdward2 Bill, we STRONGLY recommend Bullseye instead of Buster, but RPi cameras work on both. Assuming you stick with Bullseye, what exactly do you mean by "RPi Configuration"? The camera port needs to be enabled via the If you don't find it, attach a screen shot. |

The hardware is a Raspberry Pi 4 8GB Model B with 1.5GHz 64-bit quad-core CPU (8GB RAM) and either 128gb (Buster) or 256gb (Bullseye) MicroSD Card. RPi Configuration was one of the Drop down options for configuring the hardware, First option usually is the camera. On Buster I could take snapshots and video, but the Allsky software doesn't "See" the camera for some reason. Hope this makes sense. |

I finally installed Bullseye on a second test Pi and also noticed the "Raspberry Pi Configuration" box (your first picture) no longer has an option to turn the camera port on/off. In Bullseye it's always on. Please run FYI, I also upgraded the Buster OS on another test machine and now the RPi camera there isn't found - just like your attempt the first time. |

@WEdward2 Bill, why did you close this? Is it working now? If so, what did you do to fix it? |

Good afternoon,
I am completely new to RaspBerry Pi and it's been a few years since I have done anything with Linux, so please bare with me.
I'm trying to install Allsky onto a RaspBerry Pi (Buster) system, the installation gets to the point where it is setting up WebUI options and default settings for RPi cameras and get a message stating "No Camera detected - Installation aborted. But The camera is attached, it is Enabled under the RPi Configuration AND I can issue commands to take a snapshot or video. So why does Allsky not detect the camera (RPi HQ)?
Thinking it might need to run on RPi Bullseye, I installed a new SD card, installed the OS. But when I go to the RPi Configuration there is NO option for Cameras.
So can someone point me in the right direction for one of the two version of the OS ?
Thanks!
Bill
