Certificate verification failed

Hi,
I'm having issues uploading to my website. The log tells me that the Certificate verification failed as the common name doesn't match. I can see in the Wiki that there is a fix. I need to add a file ~/.lftprc but I'm unsure how to do this.

Please disregard. I can see now that I can add an LFTP_COMMAND.
Everything now seems to be working but I still have no image on my webpage.

@LB376 Are the images being uploaded to your remote server, in the locations specified in your ftp-settings.sh file? The Troubleshooting --> uploads page shows how to do a test upload.
If image.jpg IS on the server in the correct place, make sure the fileName is "image.jpg", not "current/tmp/image.jpg".

Yes, the images are uploading to the server. The timelapse, keogram and startrails have all uploaded as well.
It's only the live view that isn't working. I've obviously got a setting wrong somewhere.
Yes, the fileName is "image.jpg" on the config.js. on both the ftp and in the editor.
Should it also be "image.jpg" in config.sh?

The name of the image is only in the Filename field in the WebUI and in the config.js file. It's not in config.sh.
In your browser on your webpage, press F12, then click on the "Network" link. You may have to press ">>>" first. Then reload the page. On the right side you'll see all the pages your browser is trying to download. Ones in red are failures. I suspect your "image.jpg" is failing. You can see what the full name of the file is by (I think) hovering over the name.

Yes, you are correct! There was an issue with my filename. It needed to have"/uploaded-image/image.jpg".

@LB376 You did the correct thing. Please do the following:

cd ~/allsky/tmp
cat data.json

Then copy/paste the contents of the file to your reply, surrounded by a line with three tildas on it, then your reply, then another line with three tildas. This will cause your reply to be formatted correctly.

@LB376 That looks correct. The file on your server is old and only has the "sunset" line.
If Allsky is running, stop it (systemctl stop allsky), then rerun the postData.sh command.
Either way, do the following:

cat lftp_cmds.txt

Post the results, but please blank out your password and user name.
The lftp_cmds.txt file contains the commands that were used to do the last FTP, which would have been from postData.sh.

@LB376 When you FTP into your server do you see an allsky.lisabromfield.space directory, or an uploaded-image directory? If you look at the 5th line in the output it's trying to go into an allsky.lisabromfield.space/uploaded-image directory.
What's your IMAGE_DIR setting in allsky/config/ftp-settings.sh ?
Please do the following:

cd ~/allsky/scripts
./postData.sh
echo $?

The $? will be the return code from postData.sh. I suspect it's failing to upload the file.

"0" is the return code I'm getting when I run that.
That is the correct IMAGE-DIR and I can see that the images are going to that file.

Ok, you need to move the image.jpg file into allsky.lisabromfield.space, then update the config.js's fileName field to "image.jpg". Then on the Pi, change IMAGE_DIR="/allsky.lisabromfield.space" in ftp-settings.sh.
The image.jpg and data.json files have to be uploaded to the directory that all the allsky files are in.

My settings at the moment are IMAGE_DIR="/allsky.lisabromfield.space/uploaded-image"
The image name in config.js is "/uploaded-image/image.jpg"
The data.json file is also in the "uploaded-image" folder.

The website software looks in the same directory it's in for the data.json file.
Just curious, why have an "uploaded-image" directory? Is there anything else in it?
If videos, keograms, and startrails directories are also there, it'll be a lot easier to create a /allsky.lisabromfield.space/allsky directory and put everything there. That's the recommended way since it causes less problems like you're seeing. Your IMAGE_DIR would be /allsky.lisabromfield.space/allsky, KEOGRAMS_DIR="/allsky.lisabromfield.space/allsky/keograms", etc.

So that's unusual that the software isn't picking up the data.json file?
I only have Allsky in allsky.lisabromfield.space.
There isn't anything else in the uploaded-images directory.

@LB376 Lisa, the software is in allsky.lisabromfield.space so is looking there for the data.json file, but it's uploaded to allsky.lisabromfield.space/uploaded-images.
The way you have it set up is more complex than it needs to be and is the reason you're having an issue
My strong suggestion: Remove the uploaded-images directory, then update ftp-settings.sh accordingly. Everything will then work as it's designed.

It looks like your max exposure is set to 500 us.
There's a bug in the current release where the Exposure and Max Auto Exposure are reversed, or something like that. Play around with those numbers. Typically at night people have a max of 60000 (60 seconds). During the day I have a max of 10 seconds for the start of day / end of day when it's still somewhat dark.
