Setup RPi HQ, an example?

Hello ,
I've changed my asi224mc by the rpi hq recently.
But I don't know how to setup this camera.
Is it possible to have an example of these parameters to start correct ?

@Frankastro85 Frank, we suggest using auto-exposure and auto-gain in daytime and nighttime with the RPi HQ camera. You may need to show advanced options by clicking the yellow button at the bottom of the page.
You'll need to play with the Red and Blue balance since those values depend on your skies.
I suggest leaving the other settings at the default.
Feel free to post a picture and we can comment on it.

This is an example of a capture of this night (with a big moon). I think the picture is too blue, isn't ?

The picture is correct with the AutoWhitebalance. Is-it possible to know the value of R and B when the AutoWB is activate ?

@Frankastro85 It looks blue to me. If you're on Bullseye (the newer operating system), decrease saturation to 1.0.
It's currently not possible to determine the R and B values. In a future release on Bullseye we'll be able to get those values.

@Frankastro85 add this to the "Extra Arguments" setting in the WebUI:

--metadata /home/pi/allsky/config/overlay/extra/libcamera.txt --metadata-format txt

You can then look in /home/pi/allsky/config/overlay/extra/libcamera.txt to see what the red and blue white balance numbers were. It's called something like "ColorGains". You can add that to your images if you want.

@Frankastro85 You are on Buster (VERSION_CODENAME) which is the older operating system.
Before changing R or B, set Saturation to 0 which is the default. The 40 you currently have is saturating the colors including the blue. If that's not enough to fix it, then play with the R and B.

For the next Allsky release we are going to recommend people reinstall the operating system and install Bullseye. I need to first figure out how to do it so I can document it.
RPi HQ people especially should upgrade since the Pi camera software in Bullseye is better.

@Frankastro85 The last time I checked it was possible to upgrade to Bullseye on top of Buster but the Pi team recommended doing a fresh install, i.e., wiping the SD card clean and starting over. That's what we'll recommend.
I want to create instructions fir how to save Allsky images and other important files, then restore them.

It's better with the R and B and the auto gain seems ok during the day.
I' m waiting for this night...

But now, my picture doesn't load to my website :-) I've used the same parameters as usual but I've the screen "Software not running".
I'm desperate.

@Frankastro85 The Wiki and the log file (/var/log/allsky.log) are your friends.
It sounds like you might have two issues.

1. The "Software not running" image is displayed when Allsky isn't running. As soon as you start Allsky it should change the message to "Allsky software is starting up". You'll only get an sftp error if Allsky is running.
   Look in the log file to see what it says. If you can't understand it, please post it and I'll look.
2. sftp. This is most likely a configuration issue - something you configured on Buster but forgot to configure on Bullseye. Look at the Troubleshooting --> Uploads Wiki page. Often users have a certificate error, which is described in the Wiki.

@EricClaeys In fact, the problem isn't the wiki but me. I don't know very well the universe of Linux. So, when we have an error, it's difficult to know what is wrong (no message to tell "Hey guy, your certificate is not correct !").
The problem was the certificate, and I've followed exactly the wiki. Perfect.

But for example, this morning, all is right except the timelapse.
I've restarted the soft a lot this night to find the good balance of white, is-it the problem ? Is-it another problem ? I need to investigate, but without an error message, it's a little difficult.
So, this forum is very important and useful for me :-)
