@Bi7 Unless your camera has a shutter, which most don't, it's going to be exposed to the Sun even if the software isn't running. If your camera DOES have a shutter, you can adjust the Angle to change the daytime to be the time you don't want pictures, then turn off daytime capture. See the Wiki page on angle, latitude, and longitude for more info. |

Right, I didn’t think about that. I am using a PiHQ so will just turn on daytime capture. Thank you for this project |

Is there a way to implement the ability to keep daylight capture yet "suspend" it for a period of time during the day? This would allow seeing the sky in the morning and afternoon yet be kinder to the camera sensor during direct sunlight hours of the day.
It would be great to avoid direct exposure to the high noon sun, really from 9 or 10am to 4pm in the summer time.
