When I click on the 'add' button, I am expected to input an RSS feed URL into the box. However, it is not immediately apparent to users what to do, especially those who have never used an RSS-based news reader before, as most solutions out there like Apple News is topic-based instead of RSS-based.

I researched the code and there is a placeholder text there for the search entry. The problem is that it is never visible as the search entry is always selected.
@Allen-B1, using a popover text might be useful. Also, making the placeholder text always visible, even if the search entry is selected is a good idea.
