sometimes surge demo URLs are not properly formatted

1. Go to auro-back-to-top#8
2. Click surge demo link
3. Observe given path /demo doesn't work
4. Observe /demo/ does work

Reproducing the error

This issue cannot be reproduced on the Auro docsite

Expected behavior

The given URL provided in the comment is the /demo/ path that works consistently instead of the /demo path.

What browsers are you seeing the problem on?

Additional context

I believe something may be happening here with our use of urls-md. We may want to remove the use of urls-md and replace it with another formatting technique.

URL given in the demo is 100% successful.
