Inputs in YAML or JSON format #200

Inputs.yaml: In an earlier version of 0.2.2.3, I found defining inputs in inputs.yaml may be confusing at first. Many users might be more familiar with defining inputs in a dictionary format rather than YAML, which has a slightly tricky syntax at first. Maybe add a small mention on how to configure that particular file in the Readme for the yaml uninitiated.

We should accept inputs in either format based on file extension.
