Try to watch any video on YouTube via VPN.

Expected Behavior

There should be no buffering.

Actual Behavior

Video loading speed is slow. Quality drops to 240p. Buffering.

In the last few days, we have received a number of requests from users with reports of problems with low connection speeds when using our VPN.
The problem is related to the ongoing attempts to restrict VPN operation in Russia. The second reason is blocking YouTube. Users are increasingly forced to use a VPN to watch videos, which leads to a multiple increase in the load on servers.
The speed will be restored in the very near future. You can help our team by gathering some information.:
• How long ago did the problem start?
• Which provider do you use?
• Which VPN location do you use most often?
• What speed does it show https://www.speedtest.net when the VPN is connected and disconnected?
• Is there a problem in other locations?
• Logs from the application collected according to the following instructions will be useful:

1. Enable debug logging:
   Settings -> General -> Advanced -> Logging level -> Extended.
2. Reproduce the problem, then remember the exact time it happened.
3. Collect logs:
   Settings -> General -> Advanced -> Export logs and system info.
4. Send this file to [email protected]:
   • include [android] keyword and ISSUE_NUMBER in the subject of your email
   • specify the exact time when the issue occurred

• What speed does it show https://www.speedtest.net/ when the VPN is connected and disconnected?
The problem with speed is observed only with YouTube. In the speedtest the speeds are good!

• Is there a problem in other locations?
Yes, there is. Regardless of which server is selected, the speed on YouTube is always low. Testing on other protocols such as v2ray fixes the problem with the speed on YouTube.

Did you try to use QUIC/HTTP/3 in Adguard VPN?
For me connection speed is fast with QUIC on MTS mobile provider on Francfurt, Denmark and soem other locations.
