Recipe Name: Classic Beef Lasagna
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 24 oz marinara sauce
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with onion and garlic. Drain excess fat.
3. Add marinara sauce, basil, and oregano to the meat. Simmer for 10 minutes.
4. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, eggs, and Parmesan cheese.
5. In a 9x13 inch baking dish, layer: meat sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, mozzarella. Repeat layers.
6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 25 minutes.
7. Let cool for 15 minutes before serving.
