Thanks for the reference to the life by weeks article Alexander, and the code. I loaded it up and rendered the calendar for my relatives, along with the link. My dad is approaching ninety so I offered to do one with an additional 90 if he was feeling ripped off.

hm, Firefox's built in pdf viewer does not display the boxes, but evince does. Interesting.
