Hey @adamdjbrett, the authors field is for the authors of the page and nothing else (it's parsed by a script).

If dashingcode created this page for you, they're placed there correctly and the page would not show up with you as the author. If you've created the page, it should be your GitHub username (or in that case nothing at all / No reponse is fine too).

I modified the theme from Jekyll to 11ty b/c I like eleventy. I wanted to also give @dashingcode credit for their work and share their great theme w/ the community.

I like your intention, but as it is created right now I can't merge / approve your issue, because to my knowledge it will fail the automation we have for integrating the data into the site and also this is not how the author field is intended to be used.

If the jekyll template gets transformed to an 11ty template, it could be added to the Starter Projects, which would make it discoverable for new people trying 11ty.
